Truth Is

Written December of 2014. Final edit 11/14/21.

What began as a six-page dialogue excerpt for a theatre assignment in a college has evolved into my first play. More importantly, creating this one-act play showed me how powerful writing can be: it can help a person process significant events or allow them to find a sense of peace. I had planned to revise the story to be more fitting for the stage but have decided to leave it be. It validated my endeavor to be a writer and serves as a reminder that storytelling is what I'm meant to do.
